In Memory of Hannah

“Hannah was our beautiful, friendly miniature schnauzer for 10.5 years.  She loved being with her family and enjoyed favorite pastimes of walks in the warm sunshine, chasing her ball, being chased around the family room, and her absolute favorite: barking.  As Hannah grew in years, her needs became such that it wasn’t practical for us to take her somewhere to be groomed.  So when we found Aussie Pet Mobile, and specifically Hannah’s groomer, Dishan, it was a welcome relief to all of us.  Hannah loved Dishan and we never worried about Hannah being stressed with her.  And, she always looked magnificent afterward.  Sadly, we lost Hannah in February 2013 due to an extended illness, but her precious memories will live in our hearts forever.  And we’ll always be grateful to Aussie Pet Mobile for bringing Dishan to us in Hannah’s last years.”

Healthy teeth and gums for healthy pets!

February is National Pet Dental Health month.  Pledge to brush your pet’s teeth and take them in for regular dental exams.

A healthy mouth is important for healthy hearts, livers and kidneys.

Increase their life expectancy with these tips for healthy teeth and gums:

1. Look for dry food formulated to remove plaque buildup
2. Have an annual or bi-annual oral exam and cleaning at your vet
3. Spend 2 minutes daily brushing your pet’s teeth with a special brush and toothpaste for pets or with your finger wrapped in gauze
4. Give your dog a rawhide chew that has enzymes that aid in breaking down plaque
5. Apply a barrier sealant (OraVet) to repel plaque and prevent gingivitis

Georgia Week for the Animals – Oct. 20-28

The 2nd Annual Georgia Week for the Animals, originated by Governor Nathan Deal, is this week, Oct. 20-28. All animals are being celebrated in various ways by rescue organizations and local businesses sponsoring events and awareness.

Throughout the week, educational institutions, animal shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting scores of wonderful animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across Georgia will be joining in, creating and planning exciting activities to celebrate and help animals.

I just wanted to give a compliment to Dishan here in Marietta, GA.

I always request her, my obese and ridiculous cat loves her.

It takes THREE of us to do his nails and yet she can do it by herself.
He always looks so handsome after and NEVER stressed after she’s been here.

We found him a few years ago, he was abused and he’s FIV+ so we try to make his life easy.

Dishan is always very punctual and cuts J-Zilla’s hair the way we like it (not some silly cut).

She’s great and we are really happy with her!
